Our Mesh

The local network is being built incrementally. This page deliberately separates confirmed local infrastructure from plans and experiments so visitors can tell what is actually deployed.

How a local mesh grows

A useful mesh usually needs more than one radio. Portable nodes can communicate directly when they are close enough; strategically placed fixed nodes can improve coverage between neighborhoods and towns.

Portable nodes

Carry a radio while hiking, commuting, attending events, or testing coverage.

Fixed nodes

Place a node at a useful elevation with reliable power and a good antenna.

Community infrastructure

Coordinate locations so new nodes complement existing coverage instead of duplicating it.

Local status

The network inventory and coverage map are intentionally marked as a work in progress until we have verified local node information. We will publish node names, general locations, installation details, and last-checked dates as those details become available.
